Harris Organic information about food and wines

Our organic red, rhone style, dark and fruity shiraz has a clean organic finish and excellent palate depth. The wine has refined smoothness and berry flavours, and could be served with the following organic food:

• Roast venison with red currant or blue berry jam.
  
• Roast beef with mushroom gravy, wholegrain mustard mashed potatoes, with a dash of truffle oil.
  
• Roast game (pheasant or pigeon) cooked in a rich fruity sauce.
  
• Grilled meats
• Jugged Hare
  

Our Malbec is dark and dense in colour with wonderful spicy sweet aromas. On the palate it delivers upfront sweetness with richness and some floral notes to finish, and could be served with the following:

• Moroccan chicken served on a bed of raisin and sweet paprika infused cous cous.
  
• Lamb rogan josh curry with naan bread and bombay potatoes.
  
• Beef vindaloo served on a bed of coconut infused jasmine rice.

Our vintage Shiraz with a palate of Chocolate, Liquorice and Plums leaves a smooth tingling palate, and could be served with the following:

• A lot of apple pie or pancakes.
  
• Belgian waffles, mixed berries and whipped cream.
  
• Poured on vanilla dairy ice-cream.
  

Our award winning Liqueur Muscat is a luscious fortified sweet dessert wine, and could be served with the following:

• Fresh Fruit Salad and yoghurt.
  
• Roquefort - Blue Cheese, Crackers and Muscadelle Grapes.
  
• Coffee and Chocolate after dinner.
  
  

Our White Port has a golden light colour and a palate of creamy peach, pear and toffee flavours, and could be served with the following:

• Spiced Poached Pears and Cream.
  
• Creme Brulee and rich Dairy Cream.
  
• Creme Caramel.
  

Our unique organic Pedro Ximenez has a burnished golden colour with flavours of honey and butterscotch, and could be served with the following:

• Glazed onto pan grilled T-bone Steak.
  
• Poured on to Pancakes and Ice-cream.
  
• Aperitif to any meal.
